Project Overview
Semper Services delivered a critical emergency temperature management project for a London data center facing severe pressure from high temperatures. The project involved comprehensive cooling infrastructure support for DACS fan systems and protective screening components using high-level access strategies, alongside the strategic replacement of Main Switch Units (MSUs) and essential mechanical upgrades to ensure optimal performance and restore operational efficiency.

Scope of Works
Installation of multiple high-level access towers
Critical maintenance of 360 DACS fan infrastructure units
Re-installation of protective screening to DACS units
Replacement of Main Switch Units (MSUs)
Mechanical upgrades to support DACS units including component replacements
10-operative team deployment
Solution / Delivery
Executed through a precise high-level access strategy requiring systematic coordination, integrated with mechanical improvements:
Dismantling & re-erecting towers between cooling zones
Precision re-labelling and configuration of protective screens / Implementation of targeted mechanical upgrades alongside cooling infrastructure support to optimize DACS performance
Team-based execution with strict supervisor oversight
Outcome
The intervention successfully relieved critical temperature pressure on the facility. All 360 DACS fan infrastructure units were fully serviced and reinstated to original specifications, and critical MSUs were replaced, ensuring the continued operational integrity and cooling efficiency of the data center.
